Robusta coffee beans origins from the beans of Coffea canephora plant one of the two main commercially cultivated coffees along with Arabica (Coffea Arabica). It is considered to be the second most popular coffee flavor worldwide. Coffea canephora has its origins in the equatorial forests of Africa, West coast of Uganda and the South of Sudan. Coffee in the Robusta uses primarily in instant coffee, espresso and as a filler in ground coffee blends and also accounts for about 40% of the world’s total coffee production.
